Bertie was born in Madison, Wisconsin the middle of August, 1985. His Mom adopted him from the Capitol Square farmer's market when he was just four weeks old. Ever the sweet and cuddly one, Bertie was known as a sort of Winnie the Pooh in cat's clothes. For the first year or so of his life, Bert was the cleanest kitty in all of Madison since he insisted on accompanying his Mom into (yes, into) the shower every morning before finally realizing his presence was not required. Bertie lived with his Mom in Athens, Georgia from 1987 until his recent passing. Check out the link above left for a look at Bertie's sister, Ingy, who shared his life for 15 fun-filled years. |
